About the Image(s)
Last year, while in California, I saw this bridge, closed off to the public, and wondered what it looked like. Flew the drone up over it and saw it was just a shell of a bridge. Hoping for an abstract composition, but not sure my camera settings were set correctly for how bright it was in that area.
DJI Air 2S, F/2.8, 1/500 sec, iso 100
Edited in LR mobile, used a vintage profile, added some texture, clarity, dehaze.

Lisa, I like more the original. There I can see that this is bridge, actuallay an interesting one. You are right, you converted it into an abstract composition, but I do not see it anymore as a bridge - rather a dragonfly :)   Posted: 03/05/2023 23:25:04

Janos! I love that! I will have to change the title to Dragonfly :)   Posted: 03/06/2023 08:02:26

Hi Lisa, I like what you did with the image. I like the original and I like your abstract. Janos is right about the dragon fly. In the abstract the bridge looks like it is made of balsa wood.   Posted: 03/08/2023 12:23:36

Thanks Lou, the bridge did indeed look like it was a toy bridge made of balsa wood. Glad it was gated off.   Posted: 03/28/2023 18:18:29

Thanks Pete! I loved the old bridge too, I was so intrigued by what was hidden behind the fencing. But I didn't think it worked as a straight imageā¦ I like what you did here.   Posted: 03/28/2023 18:19:27

Hi Lisa,
Being late to the party, it is hard to add anything new to what has been said already. I understand what you were trying to do with the abstract. I really like the original view and wonder how it would look enhanced in a similar way as you did with the abstract version.
Another view of the bridge that is not directly over it might have been interesting as well.   Posted: 03/21/2023 11:10:15

Thanks Don, I went back and looked and I did not take that shot down river with the bridge in view. That would have been a good look. Next time!   Posted: 03/28/2023 18:21:20

Hi Lisa,
Like everyone else mentioned, I also like the original better. It shows the environment around the bridge and I especially like the flowing water above the bridge in the image. I“m sorry but the cropped image doesn't do much for me and the rocks along the bank actually become distractions. While the lightened color of the water shows a little more detail at the bottom of the river, the reduced contrast makes the image look a little flatter.   Posted: 03/24/2023 13:10:39
