Puerto Rican School Yard by Lisa Cirincione

November 2020 - Puerto Rican School Yard

About the Image(s)

From my yearly trip to Puerto Rico, plenty of interesting sights to see there. Found a school that wasn't in session and it had this little playground attached. Interesting that there is concrete all around this little walled-off section.

I like this very much. Another fine abstract, you seem to find some very interesting things to photograph. I think you have done a good job with the composition and framing and I like the bold colors. I find the whitish concrete around the sides to be distracting and I think that the image might be stronger if there were less of the concrete.   Posted: 11/03/2020 14:07:58

What Lou said. This one is close to perfect. Is that conduit in the bottom right of the image?   Posted: 11/04/2020 08:19:15

It may have been conduit. The playground was near a school building. I didn't even notice that was there.   Posted: 11/12/2020 10:12:23

It's interesting that without being told about the image, I would bot have guessed it was a playground. It is nicely done. I do think that cropping off some of the right side might improve the image. It looks like you are about 50 feet above the playground.   Posted: 11/06/2020 11:42:54

Thanks guys, I do try to find different abstracts. Glad you liked this one. I did do a crop to crop off the white concrete... I need to learn to crop more in-camera too.

Also Don, I think the height is about 65 feet above the playground. I have to figure out how to find the exact height for that photo.   Posted: 11/11/2020 15:23:06
