About the Image(s)

A bright fall day, an empty playground. I love the colors and the shapes and the textures. And of course the straight down look. So abstract that you wouldn't know right away what it was.

Yes, your cropping camouflaged the playground quite nicely. I have never seen one so colorfully painted. Having the camera pointed straight done as you took the image, adds to the abstract illusion.

About how high was your Spark when you took the photo?

You could actually make three separate abstracts by cropping into the three main structures. How about going wild with color saturation and hue? So much potential to explore from just this one image.   Posted: 10/03/2020 09:58:28

Thanks Don!

It was so colorful, that's what attracted me to the playground. Good even light, and it was overcast that day, so no shadows. I am a fan of the abstract look, the straight down look, a different perspective when using the drone.

I believe that the Spark was about 180 feet high for this full photo. That was a good question. It took me a few tries to find that information. I went to Lightroom first, and then realized the info would be in my DJI Go app. Then in the app, it took a few tries to find the info.

That would be something that Adobe Lightroom could try to incorporate into their metadata, all the info from the drone. But that would be a lot of data!

It would be interesting to crop this into different shapes, and do some kind of college... hmmm. I'll see if I can work something out there.   Posted: 10/04/2020 08:16:40

Good subject and presentation. Maybe burn in the highlights if they'll respond.   Posted: 10/04/2020 12:13:09

I agree with Don, I think you did a great job of aligning and cropping the original image. You have an eye for finding interesting subjects, especially when viewed straight down. I think you could saturate the colors to the point of absurdity and you may have a totally abstract looking image.   Posted: 10/04/2020 13:56:22
