About the Image(s)

This shot, from August 17 this year, is the scene of a river rescue near my home. The incident took place August 16-17. I know the subject of the rescue. He got to spend the night on that grassy log pile in the river. He flipped and almost drowned at about 5:00 PM, and wasn't found for rescue until about noon the following day. The Yakima River is not to be trifled with. It has killed 6 this year, so far.

Talk about story-telling images. Quite a story going with this one. Is that blue shape his abandoned canoe?   Posted: 09/06/2020 18:26:57

On the island is one of the pontoons from his craft. To the left, in the logs, is the other pontoon, which we believe is still attached to the remains of the "boat".
