February 2021 - The Island of Maui

About the Image(s)

November of 2019 was my last off state trip before Covid-19 pandemic. It was Maui! We had one week there. The beautiful paradise scenery kept us trying to look around every corner on the island. Tons of photos and videos were taken and left us unforgettable memory. They were taken by my mobile phone and Canon 5D Mark IV with tripod used only for long lens shooting.

Peter,

Beautiful video of Hawaii.

Starting with the slow motion of foot prints in the sand.

At :17 beautifully done Maui Picture in Text.

At :46 starts very nice slow motion shots of people surfing.

1:07 is the Old Lauaina Town. (It looks like it could be an aerial view, taken at a higher elivation.)

1:10 is the beautiful Old Banyan tree.

1:47 is the beautiful time laps sunrise.

2:50 slow motion jump into the ocean.

Ending with Aloha Picture in Text.

Through-out the video you used a lot of captions to tell the viewer what they were seeing. (nicely done)

Very nice Hawaiian music added to the beauty of the video.

A few things that I think could have been corrected. One was the contrast of the video. To me it seemed a little hazy through-out the whole video. At 1:18 there was a sun glair on the Banyan tree that was a little distracting, that could have been edited out.

All in all, a beautifully done video.

Dick

Dick,
Thank you very much for your comments!
1. after you mentioned I noticed the sun flare at 1:18. I will edit out or trim off that part in future version
2. 1:07 aerial view was taken from second floor window of the museum building near by
3. The video resolution was 4K. There may be some hazy clips, but not the entire footage. Guess you may playback at lower resolution on YouTube. Please check/select the gear icon as 4K at bottom right corner on Youtube black frame. It should have better result. It happens to me sometimes when I am watching other's video on YouTube   Posted: 01/24/2021 16:08:26

Peter,
Wow, I didn't realize that you could pick the playback resolution on YouTube. Yes, I agree, it looks much better in 4K.

Hello Peter,
Happy new year my friend.
What a wonderful way to see the beautiful Maui of Hawaii.
your video really made me add this holiday destination to my bucket list. A creative start by opening scene of the sea water coming over the sands. Surfing people, the big Banyan tree really made the presentation more interesting. the time lapse of sunrise and cliff jumping in slow motion really added to the video. Finally the closing with a ALOHA with a Hawaii dancing lady and through out the presentation with the local music made this a wonderful creation.
Great work. Can't take my eyes off all those beautiful activities.
Stay Safe and Cheers.   Posted: 01/31/2021 14:18:34

Peter,
Excellent video as usual. I feel so good when someone tells me that my photograph made them want to visit that place. Your video made me want to pack my bags and head to Hawaii - like a travel advertisement :)   Posted: 02/02/2021 13:02:34
