September 2020 - My Work Place : "Flood in Bangladesh 2020"

About the Image(s)

This video is created by my iPhone 8s, hand held with no gimbals. As usual this video was edited by "Adobe Premiere Pro cc" editing software.

I have been flying over Bangladesh for the last 25 years. I know my country like my palm top; as I have been flying so extensively. While enjoying every bit of it, I captured many interesting photos and shot many interesting aerial videos. This is one of the presentations of a natural calamity called Flood during monsoon season. These are very difficult times for our people. I tried to present you the real life scenario from my helicopter during this ongoing monsoon.

"Flood in Bangladesh 2020"
This is a video presentation of "The Flood In Bangladesh - 2020" from the Air. As a helicopter pilot, I have an unique opportunity of seeing my country "Bangladesh" from the Air. This is a beautiful country to enjoy from the air while flying. The fertile lands of Bangladesh produce her food grains and other agricultural products all year. In different seasons, different types of colors decorates our beautiful country elegantly. But during the monsoon season, when low lying land gets flooded; a vast area goes under water and millions of people get water locked and their suffering knows no limit. They suffer many folds with water borne diseases, shortage of foods and other emergencies. One of the reasons for this flood is, when the surrounding countries open their slues gates from their dams; as they get flooded. We lose millions of tons of food grains, thousands suffer along with these natural calamities. This is a very short presentation with such short opportunities to capture. I hope one day our people can take the advantage of this flood in to their own benefits."

I hope you will watch and know about the subject.

Syed, I really envy your unique vantage point :)

Unfortunately we are living through times when we see climate change wreaking havoc to our environment and lives. As photographers we have the opportunity to amplify and bring more attention to this problem that is still being denied as reality.

Keeping the gravity of the subject, I have 2 small suggestions for you:
1. Music of the video is very pleasant. But if your intent is to highlight the havoc, maybe use music that is more in keeping with the subject
2. Maybe include some details about the outcome of the flood and its impact, the problems caused by it?
