December 2019 - Rain Comes to Town — Winter in Seattle

About the Image(s)

The idea for this video came out years ago. I imagined how to make a short video to present Seattle’s winter season. It took me about a year for the seasonal footage collection. The opening and ending effects push me to learn a lot to fulfill the result I wanted. The football clips were screenshots from live TV. Edited with Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for showing main areas of Seattle and love the way you present Seattle to the world.

I saw a movie called "Sleepless in Seattle" a very romantic comedy movie. And now I see a different Seattle. A lovely presentation along with the appropriately selected song or music. a different stories of Seattle is presented each clips which was roller coaster ride of all the stories from Seattle. Well done. Cheers.   Posted: 12/20/2019 12:51:29

Peter,

What a wonderful tribute to your Hometown, Seattle.
I loved everything about this video.

The video was only 2 minutes and 40 seconds long and yet you managed to capture so much in that short time.

I liked the lightning and the rain on the glass effect in the beginning of the video.

From Santa in the Public Market Center to the Salmon swimming across the street, it was excellently done.

Peter,

Excellent in every way and what I aspire to learn from this group! I'm so impressed with your skill at weaving a story, videography, and music, which fit perfectly. I find music is 80% of my inspiration for videos. I'd be interested to know where you obtain it and what the rights are.

Well done!!   Posted: 12/30/2019 14:11:20

Kathleen.
Thank you for your comments! I agree that music is very important to create a good video. If video is brain, music is heart. If video is body, music is legs to make video stand up. I always decided music first before editing. This piece of music was called "Calm After The Storm" and purchased from "Amazon Music", where you may find the terms of use in detail.
