October 2019 - The Tea Garden Diary

About the Image(s)

On 26 September 2019, I visited a tea garden in the north eastern region of our country. The area is called Habiganj. I went their by our helicopter. It was a stop over for few hours, so I could not resist to make some video and scenic images to document the life of Tea workers.

I have made the video by my iPad mini and quality of the video in iPad is good. But when I have uploaded the video clip to You tube; the quality appears very poor. The music is also from iPad sources. It was hand held and free movement without a gimbal; between the small hillocks of Tea garden.

I am glad you share this video to us, especially for me who never grows up and lives in southern area. even now I am living in the Evergreen Sate (nick name of Washington state), but it is not as green as where you live. You said the YouTube version of your video has lower resolution than you did on the iPad. I am wondering if you set the Sequence resolution as the same as that on your iPad. If not the exported file will match what the Sequence setting is. I aware that you normally use Premiere Pro for editing. So Sequence in Premiere Pro decides the resolution of exported files.   Posted: 10/24/2019 15:28:01

Dear Peter Shi,
Greetings. Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I will definitely check the resolution of exported files before upload. Thank you for your positive comment. I am still learning and you are enriching my knowledge.

Kamal,

So, I'm not sure what went wrong. I looked on Youtube and the video is a very low resolution (240p). I'm not sure if it was recorded at a low resolution on your i-Pad Or if, your software was set wrong when it was rendered.

In a way, this was a good thing. We can all use this as a learning experience. It's good to show our problem videos as well as our good videos so that we can learn. If all we ever see is our videos that we spend hours trying to perfect, and never see the problem videos, than it is hard to learn.

I love the subject matter of your video. It looks like you were right out in the tea gardens with the workers.

Thanks for sharing.   Posted: 10/27/2019 00:38:06

Hello my friend,
Thank you very much for your suggestions. I will surely check the resolution next time. Thank you for your kind appreciation for my video. Yes I was in the middle of the tea workers in the garden. It was an amazing experience for me. I will again check the video resolution though.
