September 2020 - Ghost Snake

About the Image(s)

My grandson pulled this snakeskin out from some rocks this summer, and I was fascinated by it. It was 28 inches long, and I'm glad that I didn't see the critter while he was still inside of it!

I don't have the ability to "stack" photos, and so this seems to be the sharpest that I can get it. I laid it on top of some black velvet that I had, in the hopes that it would set it off well.

200 ISO, 55 mm, F9, and 1.3 sec.

I love finding snake skins and live snakes in the wild. I find this photo so interesting! What a great idea to put it on black velvet to get all those details to pop out so clearly! Wow- this one was still quite intact and perfect for this photo. I bet your grandson loves this photo too.   Posted: 09/16/2020 06:31:45
