Lighthouse spiral by Andrew Klein

June 2020 - Lighthouse spiral

About the Image(s)

I think I fixed the problem.....The Outer Banks of North Carolina are both beautiful and deadly. Shifting sands, sudden shallows, and unpredictable storms wrecked many ships in the "devil's graveyard". The first lifeguard service was formed here. Lighthouses were built. This is the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. Picture is from the top looking over the rail down the center using an Olympus OM 1 Mark II and a 12-40 f.28 zoom.

Hi Andrew, Something must have happened when you posted this image. All I can see is a very tiny thumbnail. Hope you can fix the issue.

Very interesting with all the bright colors shining in the windows and all the curved lines formed. That is quite a climb you made to take this photo .   Posted: 06/14/2020 05:40:43

Yes! now i can see it , it s great image , very difficult to shoot it cause of the space constraints in the light house i too have tried this long back . So i know how hard it is to get the perspective right by holding your hands parallel to ground and composing the frame . not to mention your feet usually comes into the frame too.

All in all a great work friend.   Posted: 06/15/2020 20:06:27
