June 2020 - Barcelona Columns

About the Image(s)

This picture was taken in Barcelona. F11, 1/320, ISO 100, 24mm. I kind of like the simplicity of it, and look forward to any suggestions.... Thanks

Nice one , I would ask you to try 16:9 crop on this and see if it changes the perspective. its a nice diagonal composition   Posted: 06/07/2020 21:37:08

I like the sky on this as a backdrop for viewing the soaring columns. In cases like this where you want a sense of upward soaring, I think it is best to leave the perspective as you have it here. The convergence of parallel lines is what your eye sees as well, whether it it vertical like this, or horizontal looking down a long street.   Posted: 06/07/2020 23:25:23

I like the diagonal line formed by the top of the columns. The clouds too add to the image. It's a great shot Laurie, I would not change anything.   Posted: 06/14/2020 02:44:37

With this perspective I "feel" the history and power. Nice!. Just for fun, try cropping the bottom 25-30%. I think it focuses the eye on those great column capitals and the sky. Maybe darken the sky (blue) a bit...might even be fun in B&W   Posted: 06/14/2020 13:11:31
