June 2020 - Reynisfiara Beach

About the Image(s)

A view over Reynisfiara Beach, Iceland. The image was taken from the adjacent National Park overlooking the beach. There was a constant drizzle making it rather challenging to take photographs.
The image was shot with a Nikon D750 at f14 and a focal length of 32mm, ISO 200.

I love the moodiness of this shot, and the detail in the foreground as the water washes up the sand. The clouds in the background add to the atmosphere and draws your eye to the island to the right.   Posted: 06/07/2020 14:45:10

amazing click , though i wonder why you preferred Monochrome over color.

I particularly love the balance in the frame . Superb framing , My eyes keep going from the stones in top right to water , shape of water on the beach and the structure / stone in the left . beautiful.   Posted: 06/07/2020 21:34:32

Thank you for your kind comments Prasad, good question about the choice of Monochrome over color. It was an easy choice, the original so called "color" image looks actually very mono as the weather was abysmal and not much color visible.   Posted: 06/14/2020 20:21:57

Beautiful photo and love how you captured all of the details and mood of this scene. I wonder where you placed yourself to take this?   Posted: 06/14/2020 05:36:14
