About the Image(s)

Was playing with landscapes, though I am not really a landscape guy usually. The Fall colors came late here, so even though this was late October, I was a bit early.

This really is an attempt at salvaging some of the shooting for that day (there is a lot of GREEN in my fall color pics this year).

Anyway . . . would love to hear critique on this one. If for nothing else to let the brain percolate on ideas.

My process was pretty simple. In ACR I just made it look "close" to what I saw. In PS i added a little contrast and sharpening. I also boosted reds and yellows. I brought the brightness of the sad down too. I did most of the work with adjustment layers and brushes. I left the sky alone, though it temps me to fuss with it.

All looks a lot drier than where I am at the moment!!! Our Autumn (Fall) is quite late as well because the weather is still very mild though wet!!
I like the placing of the one bush that has got some colour in it and the general composition. Perhaps the horizon is a bit too central?
I have had a little play and slightly cropped it and moved the cloud!!! See what you think?   Posted: 11/09/2020 12:25:43

Angela, I totally thought about moving the cloud. I actually took a bunch of cloud shots from that day to play with! You are completely correct.   Posted: 11/10/2020 14:38:05

Brent, I sure would love to be there. How peaceful. All sharp, and I find the framing nice and interesting patterns on the right side. I find a lovely shot and scene. I am not sure you can or should do anything differently.   Posted: 11/09/2020 22:20:03

Agree with Angela, with the cloud moved you have a lot more balance in the picture   Posted: 11/10/2020 04:55:29

This looks like a very peaceful spot and I think you captured it well. My only thought is perhaps a little less sky and more foreground if the foreground is interesting. That way the horizon wouldn't be right in the middle. Just a thought.   Posted: 11/10/2020 10:10:22

Nice color contrasts in the landscape and a good picture. Perhaps an inclusion of something in the empty spaces could also have been nice?   Posted: 11/15/2020 02:44:10

I like this landscape. The color harmony is very nice. I didn't move the cloud, but I flipped the image so the road would lead me in from the left side.   Posted: 11/15/2020 05:42:48
