Vanishing blues by Hema Narayanan, QPSA

June 2020 - Vanishing blues

About the Image(s)

underground tube station, London. Everything somehow ended up being blue - including the backpack the lad was wearing!

Lines play an important role in photography, as we agree. And this is one of my favourite subjects. This image is a part of the, Leading Lines collection. Among different types of lines, converging line or vanishing point perspective have a subtle impression on the viewer.

Another great image. How lucky were you to get the chap with a blue backpack just happening to come along!! I like the way he is separated from the other travellers and looking back at you. Lots of lovely leading lines and sharp as a tack.
Not too sure whether it is just my eyes but is it a bit on the slant? Just nit picking really!!!   Posted: 06/03/2020 12:05:33

Wonderful use of leading lines.Nice tones.I think I'd like the see the guy with the blue backpack brightened up just a tad.   Posted: 06/09/2020 22:34:18

Lovely shot and I love the blues, but I do think it's a bit slanted. Hard to get the perfect shot every time!   Posted: 06/14/2020 10:13:32

Hema, love the shot. great you got the guy turned around and where he is placed on the right. very inviting. one suggestion would be to see if you could straighten it as it tilts slightly to the right, and to see if you could add just a little bit at the bottom to get the railing more in but still keep it with the border merger. Wish i had taken that shot!   Posted: 06/19/2020 07:23:58
