About the Image(s)

This was one of a series I have been playing with. Curious what our group thinks.

Interesting!!
Couldn't at first make out what that was in the background but then realised it is a face and I understood what you were doing! Like your aperture choice which brings the flowers right into the foreground and they are nice and sharp.
I would try and get rid of the green "blob" that is in front of the face as quite distracting.
Well done.

Thanks. And yes on the blob. :)   Posted: 12/02/2019 12:48:45

Indeed interesting, the contrast between flowers (sharp although withered) and the face (unsharp but young) makes you wonder about ...
Pity about the background.   Posted: 12/03/2019 09:55:55

Yeah, RE background. Its a leaf. And I amateurishly missed it when shooting. There were other shots where the leafs made nice contrast. Just not in this 7 images set. Sigh. :)   Posted: 12/03/2019 10:05:20

Brent, sharp and beautifully rendered. Really brings one into the picture. Not entirely clear how the subjects fit together, but that is for viewer to figure out, staying with the picture. I do not know what the other greenish thing is past the face, maybe a leaf, and it could be toned down or eliminated.   Posted: 12/09/2019 13:06:14

Very nicely done, and liked the DOF shifting on the flowers offered to the deity! Its a nice composition, but just wondering what if you had zoomed out a bit more and gotten a bit more?

Lovely shot of the offering to the Ma Saraswathi.   Posted: 12/10/2019 01:40:20

I like the subject. I would either like to see more to the left of the image or have it cropped in tighter and focus only the flowers.

I really like this shot, Brent! I like that the focus is on the withered flower. I think this tells an interesting story of flowers left at a shrine. The face is focused just enough, for me!   Posted: 12/10/2019 19:01:20
