Great shot, Noel. I love these birds!!
Lovely and sharp and caught doing what they are known and named after. Well done.
I wonder if it would be better with some cropping off the left side as quite a lot of empty space there?   Posted: 12/02/2019 12:23:24

Thanks for your feedback - in relation to the neg space - removing it will make it a square picture - remarks from others suggest that square pictures are not liked - ?   Posted: 12/03/2019 09:44:24

Bonne,

How beautiful, and I love that the bird is upside down. I am a little distracted that the tree is tack sharp, and you might see if you soften it, the viewer will remain with your subject, the bird.   Posted: 12/09/2019 13:07:55

Lovely shot! Crisp, sharp and a bird in subtle action. The upside down perched bird is indeed very unusual and it took a great eye in you to capture it! I also agree with Randall's point on the tree being tack sharp...   Posted: 12/10/2019 01:45:56

Great catch! You may want to consider darkening up the tree bit and as Randall suggested, using an ever so slight blur on the branch so that it is not brighter/sharper than the nuthatch. You may also consider brightening and/or sharpening the eye of the nuthatch. Overall wonderful image.   Posted: 12/10/2019 08:38:41

Great shot of this bird, Bonne! I do agree with everyone about blurring or darkening the branch just a bit! It would put more focus on the bird! You were lucky to get the shot of the bird in this position   Posted: 12/10/2019 19:14:25
