About the Image(s)

This was shot with a Nikon D750 and a Velvet 85 Lensbaby at F4, 1/80s ISO 400

I used Camera+2 to crop the photo, added backlighting and adjusted the sharpness, brightness and contrast!

Beautiful image and love the colours and the blurred background. The square crop suits it well and makes a good composition.
You seem to have lost some of the definition in the red part of the plant when compared with the original. Perhaps try and bring that back a bit?
Good effort, well done!!   Posted: 10/01/2019 23:14:23

Janet, wonderful colors and complimented in the background. Nice angle of the flower. Interesting texture, especially in the blue.   Posted: 10/03/2019 15:51:25

Love this Janet! So sharp. My eye goes right to the red stamens? I like the shallow depth of field and your background colors provide good color harmony and compliment the bud.   Posted: 10/04/2019 15:52:07

Thank you, Cheryl! Flowers are my favorite subject, probably because they don't run away!   Posted: 10/21/2019 10:57:03
