October 2019 - British Red Arrows spreading their wings.

About the Image(s)

These British Red Arrows appeared from nowhere (sort of, as I was at the airshow in Chesterfield MO), and vanished likewise.

Great action shot!! I think the clouds really add to the image as they help give the impression that the planes are coming out of them. A plain sky would not have made the same impact. You did really well to get such a sharp image as I know the speed these planes go!!
The only small thing I think would have made it better but I reckon you would have missed the shot. This would be to have had the two planes with white plumes to be a bit more separated as they are a bit lost in amonst the others. But if you had waited for that they would have been gone!!. Well done.   Posted: 10/01/2019 01:41:36

Angela, my total analysis too. Good to get candid feedback and that we are seeing the "same." I have before and after pics too, but before i did not get the spread like here that i liked, and later the outer jets were becoming too spread............ah. thx!   Posted: 10/01/2019 08:53:40

Randall, where are you situated for this shot? You seem to be very high above or even with the clouds! I love how the airplanes seem to burst out of the clouds, with the color building as your eye gets closer to the planes! Once again you seem to have been at the right place at the right time! Well done!   Posted: 10/03/2019 18:04:38

Janet, wouldn't it be nice to be in the sky, but i was grounded at the show, near the front. The way got that look was because the jets did not start the trails till closer to us, so the trails started to blend with the clouds; thus, i was able to get this effect rather than the trails going to the edge of the pic. Thx.   Posted: 10/04/2019 07:48:47

What a nice photograph! The colorful trailing plumes and the clouds make this shot!   Posted: 10/04/2019 15:58:28
