About the Image(s)
This image was captured from one of the heritage and historical sites in Dhaka city. I have flown to this place for a charity event and this flower caught my eyes. They were trees full of this and due to a light breeze across the tree, it was difficult for me to capture this beauty.
However I make quite a few captures, out of which this turns out to be the better one. I made some cropping, light adjustment and finally put a filter of paint effect to make it presentable by CS6.
I hope you will enjoy the image and kindly give me your feedback on it.
Regards
Syed Kamal

Hi Kamal, nice contribution this month. Lovely rich tones and the paint technique is interesting. It is always hard to isolate the subject from a busy background. The texture on the flower is nice, however the background does compete with it. Perhaps masking the background and creating a soft blur would help push the flower forward, also reducing it brightness a touch? The flower itself could use some dodge and burn to help it shine.   Posted: 03/12/2023 11:07:15
Hi Kathryn,
Greetings my friend.
Thank you for your feedback and nice words on the image. Yes you are correct sometime, it gets difficult to treat the background well, while post processing. I will remember your suggestions on the background tip next time.
Thanks again and cheers.

Nice blossom -- I can see why this caught your eye. Careful of the edges. The transition from flower to background is not ideal -- you can see a light line around the flower. Maybe apply the filter just to the flower, & darken and blur the background.   Posted: 03/13/2023 14:53:30

Hi Syed, I think you've handled this well and applying the oil paint filter make the flower more artistic. I do agree with the other comments that to make the centre flower stand out more is to blur the background and make it darker. The white parts in the background takes away from the beauty of the flower and it would be easy to darken those parts.   Posted: 03/15/2023 05:28:39
This is a very nice photo. I think the colors are very nice and the lighting is good. I find the edits to be every interesting as I originally didn't notice the paint editing that you did. I don't really see anything I would change beyond possibly darkening some of the photo.   Posted: 03/17/2023 00:03:13
Syed, I can see why you were attracted to this flower, it's striking. Also interesting that you mentioned it being in the breeze, it is so difficult to get a subject like this to not have a bit of motion blur, but you did a fine job. I also like the composition and the filter you used. Nice job.   Posted: 03/17/2023 18:55:28
