About the Image(s)

A thick coating of rime ice covers the woodland around this red barn and brick silo in Scandinavia, Wisconsin. Morning clouds are still hovering above the wooded hillside behind with no sun to burn them off. Tech stuff: ISO 100, f/11, 1/50 sec., +1 step exposure bias, aperture priority, pattern metering, flash mode w/o flash, 105mm focal length. I opened in Adobe RAW for first adjustments, then into PS and LR to set the image up for Topaz Studio presets. Finally back into PS for some dodging and burning. I replaced the small white building at left with some bushes. I opted for some blue toning of the image and enriched the red in the barn and the yellow in the silo bricks.

A nice image Trey. Your PP has made the final result really poetic.   Posted: 02/08/2021 06:51:31

Trey - You have done an outstanding job on this image! I really like what you have done in PP to enhance the colors, and tint it to the blue spectrum. The conposition is good in the thirds, I had to look closely to find the house you removed. Good job all around.   Posted: 02/08/2021 08:27:07

Beautiful image Trey. Great composition and color. The difference between the before and after is just outstanding.   Posted: 02/08/2021 19:42:23

A strong image Trey. I like the coldness and bleakness that are shown make me appreciate the different climates our two nations have. As the others have said, your PP is very well done here.   Posted: 02/09/2021 01:24:40
