About the Image(s)

Early October's frosty nights created a nice contrast between fern leaves and the afternoon sunlight through a woodland canopy warms up the image but for a few moments. On this particular venture into the woodland, I concentrated on the woodland floor. Technical info: ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/30 sec., manual exposure, pattern metering, 90mm focal length. My primary goal was to create more blurring of a bokeh background to really minimize any distractions from the fern. Standard PS and LR processing, then used Topaz Studio presets with masking to get the background more painted.

Great capture and processing Trey. I like the warmth you have brought to this image and your usual processing in Topaz has produced the bokeh you wanted in the background. Well done.   Posted: 12/07/2020 02:59:25

I like this image a lot. The colors and contrast really draws your eye into the main subject. I think the lighting is wonderful.   Posted: 12/09/2020 12:17:28

Very nice image Trey. The contrast between the green and brown fern, along with the sun light makes it interesting.   Posted: 12/09/2020 13:50:33

The enhanced colors turned a modest fern into a star.   Posted: 12/19/2020 15:36:00
