This is a superb image Jorn. Presenting it in b&w is also helping it in my opinion. I'm guessing you photographed this image looking into the fashion shop window with the other buildings in the reflection, (writing is backwards). My thoughts are all positive, but I will just list them in point form: 1. no people = desolation, abandonment, a deserted city; 2. b&w = no distracting colours, cold, foreboding. 3. composition (angled) = depth but still emptiness. 4. the story = something bad has happened her & people have fled. Will they return? Congratulations Jorn on a very thought provoking image.   Posted: 12/07/2020 02:24:30

Thank you Ian I appreciate your comments.   Posted: 12/08/2020 04:09:30

I looked and looked at this image. It really intrigued me. I feel that the black and white is quite powerful and the leading lines in the composition moved my eyes from right to the left into the image. I think this is a great image. Well executed and thoughtful.   Posted: 12/09/2020 12:22:33

Jorn, I really like reflection images, and this is a great one. I like the black and white and having to think about the image and how it was taken. It makes it very interesting.   Posted: 12/09/2020 14:25:53

Ditto on what Ian related, which was very well done. The only thing I don't like in the image are those distracting white bars across the top as it takes away from the impact - I find myself asking what those are several times.   Posted: 12/20/2020 12:34:56

I agree with all the above. I like the image, and it is thought provoking.   Posted: 12/20/2020 14:00:57
