The tonal ranges for b&w are good in this image and I think the use of an Orton effect was a good choice. I think the image may have been over sharpened a tad or too much Clarity added, which is apparent at the light globes on the street. What a neat place!   Posted: 10/05/2020 09:20:43

Trey - Thanks, but I think I forgot to mention a topaz filter, but I don't recall it...sketch, maybe...   Posted: 10/05/2020 12:08:42

A great, very strong image Cyndy. Different is good. Your knowledge of post processing is much stronger then mine and I applaud your work here. One question please, I'm seeing just a touch or red and green in the flower bed, near bottom right? Or is that just something on my screen here? I completely acknowledge Trey's comments but personally I don't have a problem with the light globes. I'm not looking at this image so much as a photograph, but more of an artwork. As a whole, I enjoy all the details, tones and little interesting areas.   Posted: 10/05/2020 15:19:31

Ian - Thanks for bringing that bit of color to my attention, I don't know what/where/why/when...oh, well.   Posted: 10/15/2020 13:18:29

Great image Cyndy. I especially love monochrome images and the process you have used make this quite impactful. I'm anxious to try several of the processing techniques you used. I have not used Topaz Clarity or Orton yet. Looking forward to it. Nice job.   Posted: 10/08/2020 17:16:06

Heidi - Thank-you, it's always fun trying new things in PP   Posted: 10/15/2020 13:19:39

Nice image Cyndy. I like the angle the picture was taken at
to emphasize the palm trees. I do like the conversion to B/W which seems to bring out the lights and shadows.
