About the Image(s)

I spent a couple weeks in Nevada recently and this is an in camera blur of Aspens in Lamoile Canyon. This was taken with my Sony a7riii, 24-105 lens at 105mm, 1.0 sec, f5.6, ISO 50

I made the usual adjustments in ACR for lights and darks and vibrance. In PS, I did some dodging and burning and used some curves layers to make color adjustments and levels to increase white and black point. I also added some color in the upper left which was dark and lacked detail.

I like the level of sharpness/detail that you were able to bring back through Photoshop processing in this image.
The yellows in the trees have been brought back which really help the image. I can see the green coloring more vividly and overall it is markedly better than the original in terms of clarity and sharpness.

I find this an interesting image-an abstract that is readily identifiable. To me the colors and textures work well together and I like the "pop" of colors and light in your final image. I think you did a great job.   Posted: 11/13/2020 15:00:02

Thank you, Walter. I appreciate that coming from you.   Posted: 11/13/2020 15:59:19

I think your treatment of the image in post was very effective at adding interest to the original. Intentional camera movement of necessity makes the image blurry, and you brought our many points of interest that were not as apparent. Well done!   Posted: 11/14/2020 15:57:01

Thank you, David. Intentional blurs tend to be naturally low in constrast so that always has to be dealt with. This stand of trees were near where I was camping, but it was't until dusk when the sun was just right that I really "saw" the shapes and colors.   Posted: 11/14/2020 16:13:17
