About the Image(s)

It is another image I took on my pack trip in the high Sierra in August. This was taken with my Sony a7riii and 10-18 lens at 15mm. Settings were f/13 at 1/50th s. ISO 100

Here is the final.

Janice, you did a good job of bringing up the light on the foreground to show it better. I like the composition, with the stream giving you a place to visually enter the middle ground on your way to the mountains. Gently increasing the colors in the sky add to the appeal of the image. All-in-all, nicely done! I'd love to be there now.   Posted: 10/16/2020 16:49:59

Janice, I agree with David, I think this is a beautiful image.

I like how you composed it and how the stream leads one into the image. I think you did a great job with the clouds as they leave me with a sense of motion. The image is sharp, and the layers of the various layers of vegetation and mountains creates a great sense of depth.

The only things I would suggest are to remove the dust spots that show up in the clouds and consider removing the small tree limb that protrudes into the image slightly just above the mountain peak on the right side.

Overall, I think this is a very nice image.   Posted: 10/18/2020 12:57:29

Thank you for your comments, Walter. I can always depend on you to notice small but important details. I'll fix those for sure.   Posted: 10/18/2020 19:07:05

Thank you for your comments. I've been on a fall photography trip & haven't had cell service for 3 days so am just getting to read this. I was lucky to be there when I was as when I came out & started getting phone messages I found out about the fires in CA & that was the last good air we had for 6 weeks.   Posted: 10/18/2020 19:05:44
