It is always so wonderful to see this first buds in the springtime. I love the color in this bud though on my monitor it is a bit soft so I'm not able to see the detail. Also, my eye goes to the bright spot to the right of the bud. It is much brighter than the bud so competes with it. I did a crop of the image which eliminates much of the bright spot and also some of the top and bottom, which, in my opinion, aren't the subject of the image.   Posted: 06/11/2020 20:50:24

I too like those first signs of spring. I find the color pleasing and agree with Janice that the highlight to the right is a little distracting.

Did you consider a crop with a 2:1 ratio? That would create a banner like image and would reduce some of the space above and below the image. I have attached a crop to show what I mean.   Posted: 06/18/2020 10:42:50

Good subject, colourful and interesting. I agree with Janice and Walter regarding the sharpness and bright spot. My choice of crop would be Walters version   Posted: 06/19/2020 19:06:26
