I was lucky enough to see this plant the first time, and didn't have much prep and gear, and a cloudy day, and for a few minutes, sun broke out of the cloud and give me some light on the plant.

Nikon D810, 105mm lens @ f/11, ISO 64, 1/100s, hand held, lay flat on ground.

An interesting flower. I find the lighting, colors and angle of view very pleasing and I like the textures you captured.

I find the light spots on the left side and upper corners slightly distracting. Just a little bit more of a crop could have eliminated them. In the future, you may want to consider a higher ISO which would allow a faster shutter speed to help freeze any possible movement or to increase depth of field by adjusting f stop.

Overall, I find the image pleasing.   Posted: 10/16/2019 09:25:09

An interesting flower, colour and texture is beautiful. The image does not appear have much area which is super sharp and the light patch to the left side is distracting. The section of the flower which is lit is lovely   Posted: 10/18/2019 22:16:02
