An interesting diagonal composition that gives the image energy. In order to distinguish the water stream from the snow, I will suggest lightening the water slightly.   Posted: 04/04/2021 03:04:32

The first thing I noticed was the snow layers. We don't get so much snow in Istanbul so I'm really impressed with your photo. Regarding exif: As you did not use ND filter I guess, shutter speed is high. 1/4 - 1/6 could give more silky effect, but your work is absolutely excellent and I also prefer to capture waterfalls, rivers without ND filter to show water flow with lines. In the light of Arne's comment; not lightening the water, -but I suggest- lowering the brightness of white tones slightly. Thanks for sharing Haru.   Posted: 04/04/2021 03:39:51

Thank you for your comment, Ata.
I do not use ND filter normally in shooting water but use PL filter. I just control the SS by ISO or f stop combination. I need to adjust it based on the fastness of the stream. In this case, I selected this setting because 1/10 gives the details of flow I wanted. Arne and you pointed out the same thing - distinction the stream from the snow - I will try re-edit.
Thank you anyway.   Posted: 04/16/2021 04:35:18

Nice shot. The original photo is also very beautiful.
I suggest darkening the clutter in the picture and highlighting the stream.   Posted: 04/04/2021 19:27:54

Whilst we don't get the same amount of snow the challenges are the same with regard to exposure and you have managed to keep detail in the snow and the shadows which is not easy. Congratulations

Haru, I think your composition and shutter speed choices were excellent. To my eye, the near-whites could be dodged a bit, to good effect in the snow, and also in the water, I think. I used a curves adjustment in the attachment.
