About the Image(s)

As you all probably have guessed, I haven't done a lot of PP. That will probably change since I just took Adobe's Black Friday offer and acquired Photoshop & Lightroom CC 2020. This is my first attempt and I wanted a relatively simple image to work with. This image is from Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, a couple of years ago. I cropped the image slightly and converted it to B&W. Tweaked the brightness and contrast a bit. Nikon D300s, f/5.6, 1/30, ISO-100, handheld, no flash.

Fountains and splashes are attractive playgrounds that will give kids endless fun. One of that moment is well-reflected in the picture.   Posted: 12/02/2019 01:41:04

A well-captured situation. The shutter speed is just long enough to see the move of the droplets and short enough to keep the girl relatively sharp. Nicely blurred background and well converted into B&W with good use of grey tones.   Posted: 12/07/2019 15:49:31

A nicely captured moment of child play. Kids can't resist water and you captured the joy this child is experiencing. I like the slow shutter speed for the water movement even though the child's hands are not sharp.   Posted: 12/14/2019 23:42:30

Can't say much more than the above comments, well done. The only thing I would have done is to remove the white spots to the right hand side of her head as it can sometimes draw your eyes away from the subject.   Posted: 12/15/2019 23:33:15

Great capture of children and their love of water.
Personally I would keep the other water spray in the image because the child is facing that way a bit and I feel that it add to the story. Of course this is only another view point.
There is no right or wrong because it is an artistic choice.   Posted: 12/27/2019 15:19:35
