About the Image(s)

How I Did It: This image was made in the Lehigh Gorge section of Lehigh County, PA where I had gone to see/photograph some waterfalls. I've finally gotten into the habit of stopping when I see a scene that intrigues me, and this is one of those. I was first attracted to the tractor and the bales of hay around the property, then I noticed the geese. The one thing I don't like, and don't know how to correct, is the sky, so I cropped it out of the frame. I dehazed the image, cropped it, tweaked the brightness and contrast and sharpened it a tad. Nikon D500, Tamron 18-270 lens @ 55mm, f/8, 1/250, ISO-100, handheld, aperture priority.

A very pastoral farm scene. I like that you cropped out the cloudless sky and brought the tractor closer to the foreground. You have brought the focus onto the main subjects of the scene very nicely. The geese are a nice bonus.   Posted: 11/10/2019 22:51:49

Together with Palmela, I like your cropping. I also like the use of grey tones at the same time as you have a full tonal range from black to white. It has a good balance with the tractor on one side and the hey balls and the bushes on the other side. The angle of the tractor creates a leading line into the scene.   Posted: 11/12/2019 02:18:17
