About the Image(s)

The picture was taken during a city walk in my home town, Bergen.

The cropping and monochrome conversion are done in Lightroom. The removal of cables and branches is done in Photoshop. I decided to use a slight sepia tone to give it an ancient look.

Camera: Canon 5D Mark 4 with Canon 24-70 mm 2,8 lens at 24 mm
Shutter: 1/200 sec. Aperture: f 8, ISO: 100. Handheld

I like the cropping in the monochrome image. It emphasizes the building without the distractions of the color in the adjacent building. I also like the detail on the structure. The windows and door almost look like a face.   Posted: 08/09/2019 18:30:23

I always like old city buildings, especially in Europe and Scandinavia. Your cropping brought the focus to the old city gate. I like the sepia tone but to me the sky is too dark especially along the top. I would suggest lightening the sky to bring out some of the detail that is seen in the original.   Posted: 08/13/2019 17:22:16

I think the conversion to monochrome, cropping and wire removal all work well here. I have to agree with Pamela's comment regarding the darkness hiding the detail.   Posted: 08/14/2019 10:20:20
