About the Image(s)

This image was made in early June of this year in Philadelphia, PA. I was waiting for a parade to get underway and this man began walking toward me. I pulled out my cell phone and made a couple of images and liked this one best. I did a couple of things in Snapseed - cropped the image and converted it to monochrome. Samsung S9, f/2.4, 1/970, ISO-50, no flash.

An interesting shot, I like the manīs attitude to finding solutions. I also liked the composition where he is walking out of the picture and into something unknown.

A suggestion for improvement is to darken the background and lighten the person.   Posted: 08/09/2019 00:55:51

I like the impact of this image. I like the range in the various highlights, shadows and shades of grey. The cropping of the image allows the viewers to come up with their own story.
I use various apps on my phone. I'm not familiar with Snapseed, but plan to check it out.   Posted: 08/09/2019 18:43:31

Interesting street photography. You caught a moment in time that makes the viewer wonder where a man using a walker and pulling a suitcase might be going. I use Snapseed all the time with my phone images (I also belong to DD51 phoneography group). If the man is your main subject I would tone down the highlights and open up the shadows a bit so more attention is placed on man. You might also consider a vignette.   Posted: 08/13/2019 17:35:32
