About the Image(s)
This was taken at Two Harbors Light Station. As usual, the sky was empty, but I was still trying the get the picture perfect postcard look of the lighthouse and harbor master's home. This was taken with a Nikon D7000, ISO 100, F/8, 1/250.

Well done Debbie, you wanted to produce a picture perfect postcard look to the buildings and I feel you have done exactly that. Good day for shooting, no distractions in the image, bright punchy colours, good composition, they are all there.   Posted: 02/09/2021 02:52:22
thank you Ian.   Posted: 02/14/2021 10:54:21
Apparently this was the month of the lighthouses. It is indeed a postcardish type of photo with correct exposure, color, etc. The composition is also fine, maybe I would try to get out a bit the house from the center, eventually to the left.   Posted: 02/14/2021 00:20:48
Thank you Janos. I feel my pictures are kind of blah next to your fabulous images.   Posted: 02/14/2021 10:55:26

Agree very nice image and the weals of the building are straight, meaning that the lens you used did not distort the walls. I might have taken out the power line going across the image on the left.
I don't know how much you cropped the image but I would like to see a bit more on the left showing the tree a bit better.
Your work feels like you put a lot into the planning stages (Time of day) to get the postcard image - very nice.   Posted: 02/15/2021 17:54:25

Clean, simple and no distractions makes for a very pleasing image, Debbie. Red is always a good color to find as your subject, plus you found the complementary green on the color-wheel in the grass. Maybe take out the left half-tree?   Posted: 02/16/2021 04:37:59
Great image Debbie, I love it! So peaceful and calm. The Adirondack chairs add the homey touch! The stripes in the lawn from mowing actually give you leading lines into the photo! There is nothing wrong with clean and simple lines. The image is what you saw and represents a beautiful place. I find that refreshing!   Posted: 02/17/2021 14:14:22

Very nice and beautiful image. Very nice colors. Feel so peaceful and quiet. The composition is very nice. I would remove the electric wire on the left side of the lighthouse as the wire looks a bit distraction. Beautiful picture.   Posted: 02/23/2021 22:59:36
