This vista is incredible! Not been to Death Valley yet but it is on my list. The sky is beautiful! And I am a sucker for the moon. In fact I am thinking about going out for moonrise this week. Timing here is everything since it rises over the ocean and there is lots of distortion and clouds! I tried almost every month for over a year and still don't have the shot I want. A stunning image David. Images like this make the effort of getting up and there, usually in the dark so worth while. The reward outweighs the pain. Some people may think and say that the moon is too bright and needs some detail, but I disagree in this case. You have handled, processed and presented this one extremely well. Great image! I have been to the Death Valley two years ago and it still is on my list, a fantastic place. You were lucky with the clouds, they add a lot to the image. Maybe I would have tried to have less highlight on the moon, although it is difficult to have both details on the moon and not to have an underexposed picture.   Posted: 01/15/2020 05:51:00
