The colors are incredibly beautiful and the reflections only expand it even more.Out of curiosity, at the horizon junction - is that a jetty? Just trying to figure out how a tanker is in deep enough water if that is a land mass. Were you on a boat when you took it ? Since you're on the west coast I believe, where do you get sunrises? In Florida we only get sunrises, no sunsets on the ocean. Have to go to west coast of Florida or the Everglades because we are so flat it is visible in the swamp!. Just trying to figure out how you managed that sunrise and where. Delta tanker may mean something ...

But overall very nice image, especially like the coloring.....but I am a sucker for a pretty and pink sunrise!   Posted: 10/13/2019 18:55:38

David, the first time I saw this I just thought WOW !!! The colors, composition, construction of the elements in the frame are all superb. The pano format works a treat. I'm sure Sherry won't mind me not questioning sunset or sunrise, I just love this image for what it is. My only thoughts for improvement, I know sticks float in the water, but cloning out that one in bottom left and also those 2 between the ship's bow and channel marker, would "clean" the water up a little. Also that smudge in the sky above the ship's forward most crane, is it a cloud or just a smudge? Getting rid of that would clean the sky up also. I'm sorry if I sound super picky, but this image deserves nothing but the best. Lastly, print it am full meter (3 feet 3inches) across and then display it proudly on your office wall.   Posted: 10/14/2019 06:58:28

Not questioning where or if it is a sunrise or sunset, I'm just intrigued about the where and how. Having always visited the west coast of Florida on vacay, I was surprised to find out there was no sunset on the ocean in South Florida (dah...pretty dumb, huh?) .......Geography is not one of my strongest knowledge base, but I keep trying to educate myself since it is so important for photography, so I was trying to learn more about where and how he took the shot. David, this was not a criticism at all just an enquiring mind.   Posted: 10/14/2019 11:36:32

I assume the smudges in the sky is due to dust spot or may be I'm wrong. IMHO, this looks like sunrise shot.
I'm really amazed of the low noise quality of D850 although it was shot at ISO 2000. Only little noise in the tanker body. I guess that's because of shadow pull in LR or PS. I wish I could afford someday this beast with Nikkor 14-24.
If anyone selling this in cheap, please let me know.   Posted: 10/20/2019 14:26:54

Tuhin, have you looked at any refurbed? B&H as well as Nikon tend to have them. If I ever make a switch to the Sony, you'll be the first to know! I struggle with the weight of the cameras and with the 850 to shoot birds you have to add the grip which is outrageously priced and adds more weight. I really like the new 7r4 has like 60 mp. But I have too much invested in Nikon at this point, something they rely on.   Posted: 10/20/2019 14:46:28

Wonderful image. I like image and color. I think the image, if cropped at the top, will really be grand.   Posted: 10/24/2019 11:12:42
