Early morning Haze by Sherry Icardi

August 2019 - Early morning Haze

About the Image(s)

This was taken during a trip to Vero Beach, looking for Sandhill Cranes and Spoonbills. We made a 6Am start to get to Merritt Island at Sunrise and at our first stop I turned around to find the bridge still in the mist. It is the Humbert H. Humprey Bride that crosses onto Merritt Island, near Space Coast of Florida. I thought the perspective of being so low and the bride coming out of the morning mist was unique.
Taken on my D850 and 200-500 mm at 500MM. Which will tell you I was a fair distance away. But the composition with the bridge taking up the frame was perfect, gloving me a nice leading line.

Wonderful shot Sherry. My initial thought was "Since when does a bridge in the USA only have 2 cars & 3 people on it?" But the title answers that. Yes I agree, the composition is perfect.   Posted: 08/06/2019 06:58:29

Wonderful image Sherry. Do you always wake up so early and go out with gears?   Posted: 08/18/2019 18:20:26

This past week on vacation in Captiva/Sanibel I got up at 545Am to get sunrise every morning, though we were rained out of two mornings and I took this morning off since we were heading home. Early hours are my favorite ...my body rebels sometimes, but I take a day off and fell back to normal!   Posted: 08/18/2019 20:52:25

Great capture. Very good composition. The curve of the bridge is beautiful and the use of telephoto lens made the image more interesting and impressive. I would increase the brightness of the image a little more.   Posted: 08/20/2019 17:46:11
