Great image. Sharp throughout the structure and bricks are well defined throughout. Love the moodiness and the angle of the Viaduct provides a nice leading line into the moody sky and silver mountains. Have you tried this as a B&W? Just wondering....the green grass certainly adds something to the ambiance, so maybe not.

Thank you for your kind words Sherri, I did look at a B&W version but as you say the grass is too striking in colour to do that, it just did not 'feel' right.   Posted: 03/10/2019 03:26:18

I love the tones and colors in this image Darryl, the cold colors in the foreground and lack of colors in the background really give a sense of bleakness in this area. The viaduct and its detail give a great focal point in the image.   Posted: 03/12/2019 03:05:56
Thank you Ian, it is a very bleak area, yet beautiful and wild, especially that day as it was rainy and windy and nearly blew my tripod over....   Posted: 03/12/2019 10:50:59
Hi Darryl,
What a lovely scene you must have been freezing at the end of your shoot ! Beautiful part of the world.
I couldn't resist adding an element :-) The Flying Scotsman ! I'm just messing around and spoiling your beautiful image but couldn't help myself.
Great to have you as part of the group BTW !   Posted: 03/16/2019 04:45:17

Lol, cheers Tim, that's great.... I did get some with trains in but they were diesel and rubbish.... and yes I was freezing, but from start to finish, I went in the pub after and sat by the fire before going home.... I have taken a copy with your edit, I cannot do Ps I only use Lr and I am a bit of an opportune moment type and do very little retouching if I can help it.   Posted: 03/16/2019 05:19:45
Now you're just making jealous ! Belgium has some great bars and delicious beer but can't beat a proper English pub on a cold day with an open fire !!!   Posted: 03/16/2019 05:41:01
Great image with mood of calmness and geometrical pattern.   Posted: 03/16/2019 18:19:03
