About the Image(s)
The Sankaty Head Light is a lighthouse located on Nantucket island. It was built in 1850, was automated in 1965, and is still in operation. It is located at the easternmost point of the island, in the village of Siasconset. We took the images at sunset, but in fact were facing west for the photos just based on accessible locations.
Post processing was pretty much straightening the horizon (a never ending struggle to get it right in camera!)and adjusting white balance to bring out the warm tones from the sunset. I have been giving the auto toning on LR a chance and it really does a decent job, not perfect but close, and avoids quite a bit of nudging here and there.

EV+ because I forgot to take it off from the previous shot :-). I have not used EV very often but since I started to take birds in flight it has been an essential tool when I don't want to blow out the bird's white feathers (-EV)or black feathers(+EV).   Posted: 06/08/2018 13:30:22
