About the Image(s)

These two fox Kits were having a great time playing while wating for mom to bring home a fresh rabbit. Even though one is black, it is still considered a red fox determined by the white tip on the tail. When mom returned to the den, I was surprised that she lead the kits right past me so close that I could have reached out and grabbed them. Most fox vixens I have seen would not come with in a mile of me and would signal the kits to head into the underground den with a loud call.

Bruce, nice interaction of the young foxes. They are very sharp and the foreground and background are nicely blurred causing no distraction. Good composition improve by the crop. Perfect example of Mendel's law.   Posted: 12/08/2019 09:18:45

This is such a wonderful shot! I love seeing the way the two kits are playing with each other and didn't even mind that you were snapping away! I especially like the way you caught both mouths open at the same time while they were talking to each other!   Posted: 12/12/2019 09:07:50

A great action shot Bruce, well done. Depth of field is perfect, allowing us to see enough of the environment while the rear nicely blurred making the foxes pop! A quality shot.   Posted: 12/17/2019 11:01:29

Bruce, I agree with the others, this is a great capture with the timing perfect to show the two kits yelling at each other. The crop adds to the overall image and the focus is spot on. Well done!   Posted: 12/19/2019 13:49:39
