You have successfully brought out the FG without diminishing the mystery of the sunrise/sunset. I like the lessened shine of the rise/fall of the sun. Well done.   Posted: 08/11/2019 15:09:13

Walt, you did a great job in PP to bring out detail in the foreground, and managing the light contamination on the right side of Mt Rainier. Beautiful colors. I like the way the path works as a leading line toward the mountain. I also like the touch of blue given by the flowers. Now, I think there is too much empty space in the sky with no interesting clouds or stars to see, so I cropped it slightly to bring the horizon line to the upper third. Also added an additional touch of light in the foreground using the graduated filter in ACR.   Posted: 08/11/2019 16:52:40

Walt, I agree with the comments of the others, It appears to me that there is a slight halo on the edge of the mountain created by PP. I also like the crop that Isaac did. Bruce   Posted: 08/12/2019 17:54:37

I like the crop also. I am going back there at the end of the month to reshoot this as well as a Milky Way shot. I will definitely recompose, but I don't think there will be any wildflowers by then.   Posted: 08/13/2019 13:58:44

The pp really brought out detail. It will be interesting to see what else you get when you return.

Walt, this is a lovely image, restful on the eye and I think a lot of skill was employed in PP to achieve it. The crop is better, but I am less convinced about lightening the foreground - I think it's good the wild flowers are there, but not for them to steal the show.

I have had a halo effect on some of my images after darkening the sky. There is I think some light just above the mountain in the original, but PP does seem to emphasise it. Lovely image.   Posted: 08/24/2019 12:08:14
