About the Image(s)
There was a day and a half of heavy rain while we were camping at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The morning after the rains, the Sonoran desert was starting to bloom and the rising sun tinted the clouds lingering over the mountains as we headed into Ajo.
Taken on the Sony A7RIII with the G-Master 50 mm lens and f-11, 1/6 second, and ISO 250 with -1/3 stop exposure compensation. Basic editing in Lightroom and a slight Gaussian blur added in Photoshop.

Theresa, this is a beautiful scene and you have captured it perfectly.I think there is just the right amount of foreground and the mountains create nice layers. Nice color palette.
Best wishes

Theresa, it is very difficult to take a landscape and make it totally realistic but I think you accomplished this very nicely. Sounds like you do a lot of camping in amazing places. Well done.   Posted: 03/04/2023 06:12:00
Thank you, Tom. We were on the road for five months and just returned in February.   Posted: 03/04/2023 08:12:15
It's a great capture of your story. It would be great if you have more forground trees.   Posted: 03/05/2023 10:20:30

Good composition of the mountains and background with the two outer, higher ones leading you into the plain at the bottom. I agree with John about a bit more foreground interest. The clouds and right hand side sky are really interesting Theresa.   Posted: 03/06/2023 07:00:20
Gorgeous image. I do agree that you need a little more foreground to have the scene resting on something.   Posted: 03/06/2023 17:44:26
I would love to have more foreground but the rest of the foreground was a 4-lane highway with a wide divider.   Posted: 03/26/2023 01:27:25
