About the Image(s)
City Scape taken in Havana, Cuba. Chose this image to use in a local camera club competition requiring a reflection image. This image was taken outside of Old Havana where you have modern skyscrapers right next to several hundred year old decaying buildings.
Image shot with a Nikon D800 at 1/640 of a second F5.6, focal length 62, with a Nikkor 28-300 lens. Cropped and skewed this image to fix the vertical line convergence of the newer building.

I hope this did well in the local competition because I love it! Composing the image with just the reflection and excluding the sides of the building necessitates spending a few moments really looking at the image to determine what is going on in it.(Always a win if the viewer has to spend more time in the frame.)
The breaks between frames gives the central reflection some distortion that is interesting and the reflection of the trees on one side are mirrored on the other side. The deep blue background makes the more pastel colors of the older buildings in the reflection really pop.
I don't have any suggestions on how you might make it stronger.

I can just echo comments from Theresa about this image Tom. I really love it. Composition is spot on and it is also very original by showing 3 different style of architecture. Colors complements each other beautiful. All together a very interesting image and hope it did well
best wishes
