Great shot! White Sands is difficult to do but you captured it well. Can't think of a way to improve it. I only wish that you had had more contrast in the sky. But that wasn't anything you could control.   Posted: 03/08/2020 20:30:39

Thanks for the comments. I selected the sky and increased the clarity, texture, and whites.   Posted: 03/09/2020 23:50:58

Amazing shot! You caught so many different textures. I do like your edit of the sky. I definitely love the black and white. Although the color would be great for their series of vintage National Park postcards. I've been collecting them. Great capture!   Posted: 03/16/2020 18:56:21

John, beautiful color in the original image. You captured wonderful leading lines in the sand to bring my eyes into the photo. The leading lines are so strong and graphic that I feel a bit let down by the more wispy sky. I would probably crop off most of the sky and just have a bit of background showing. And, can you bring up the white sand (add contrast) without blowing it out, it seems a bit dull to me. The frame you have around it is brighter than the sand. Maybe you could have a black frame instead?
Agree with Nancie that the color version is quite cool.   Posted: 03/21/2020 16:34:59

I'm going to be the odd man out because I love the tonal contrasts in the color version. The black and white is nice too though. For me, the vignette is just a bit heavy and I agree with Trinda about the frame.   Posted: 03/26/2020 19:31:37

Agree with others AND that the capture of the pattern of the sand is phenomenal. The vignette is definitely disturbing and would pull it back. Would also not use a complicated frame.   Posted: 03/29/2020 03:22:22
