About the Image(s)

Walking through the Siq, which is basically the canyon area of Petra in Jordan. This was taken at the point when you get the first view of the Treasury through the slot.

I photoshopped out some of the people, but left some in to provide scale. Otherwise, I just did basic editing.

If the focus of this image is landscape, I'd crop out all the people except one (for scale). Otherwise the image becomes about the people.   Posted: 10/09/2019 18:38:52

I like the composition and the color. It's a beautiful place. It could be better with less people.   Posted: 10/10/2019 13:28:26

I like that you can see the Treasury through the slot. And the light on the walls is creating beautiful tones. With such a popular place, it's hard to get a clear shot. Maybe just removing the tall guy will give a cleaner shot of the end. I like the rock structure on the right. I would love, love to see that one day!   Posted: 10/18/2019 17:56:15

Interesting light and texture in a well-composed image. To me, it's more of a travel photo than a landscape because of the people. Having said that, leaving people in the image is more representative of what it's actually like, which I appreciate. I'd never know you removed some of the crowd - you handed that very well.

Overall, I wouldn't change anything.   Posted: 10/24/2019 15:05:32
