About the Image(s)

This is a shot from one of the outer roads in Sedona. It's a small pull off. I took this shot years ago, but I didn't frame it correctly. So I was thrilled when I happened across it again this year.

I did normal Lightroom and PS edits. I thought about cropping the right closer to the tree, but then I kinda like the space.

1/100, f18, ISO 110 50mm

Open to any suggestions. Thanks!

I believe you did a very nice job with your composition. The focus of the attention was clearly on the red bluffs. I like the tree just the way it is. It seems to frame the distant buttes perfectly. Looks like your exposure and focus was spot-on perfect. Great job. Looks like it would make a beautiful picture postcard or notecard from the area.   Posted: 09/04/2019 19:28:23

I appreciate it Mike! Maybe I can put it in my next calendar? I did Sedona last year for the theme, so can't do that specifically again. I'll think about it. Thanks!   Posted: 09/14/2019 12:24:40

I know Sedona so well since we have a small vocation spot there. And I photoed around the Cathedral Rock before and your location is one of the best. The photo has a good exposure, color balance, and it presents the famous Rock well. The thing I could do otherwise is to pick a main character, I think it's the Rock. I rather have focus on the Rock instead of the tree and make tree a bit less dominant.   Posted: 09/10/2019 22:04:17

Thanks John! I can crop a bit of the top of the tree off to bring the focus to the rocks. I actually didn't know that was Cathedral Rock! LOL I didn't recognize it from this angle, but now I see it is. Thanks!
