Beautiful shot, especially taken from such an unworldly spot as Craters of the Moon. Definitely think you should frame this one.   Posted: 10/02/2018 16:55:32

Thank you, Mike. The problem is that I got so many good images that it's hard to choose just one!   Posted: 10/02/2018 17:12:24

Beautiful!! I love night sky shots. Your stars look sharp. The foreground is a nice tone. What is the brightest spot on the left? Moon?

No recommendations from me. Great work!   Posted: 10/05/2018 21:58:47

That's actually Mars on the left.

Great Milky Way shot. I like the various depths of colors inside the Milky Way. The stars are a bit blur. Maybe expoure time was too long or the focus was not right. We use LCD to zoom in to the star to focus.   Posted: 10/11/2018 20:04:23

The stars are blurred because it was a 30 second exposure to get the detail in the core. 15 seconds gives you sharp stars but little detail.   Posted: 10/11/2018 21:14:10

Make sense, or increase ISO to reduce time.   Posted: 10/11/2018 23:14:02

Even at a higher ISO you really need 30 seconds. At least that's what the night photography books (and my personal experience) say. 20 seconds just doesn't do it.   Posted: 10/11/2018 23:19:55

Nice job. It's been too long since I did any night photography. This makes me want to get out and do it again.   Posted: 10/16/2018 11:49:37
