Hi Pierre. A beautiful landscape. I like how the trees lead my eye to the mountains in the background. The mountains are in the centre of the image but I feel you can get away with that here. The leaves in the foreground are well placed. My eye also follows the stream into the scene. The colours and the composition are well handled. This image gives me a feeling of nature's grandeur.I feel as if would like to walk along the bank to see where the stream leads.A lovely image. Congratulations. Cheers Glenn   Posted: 09/03/2019 20:23:19

Very nice image of this beautiful place! Nature's majesty does not get much better than this. The foreground water and reflections are used well here.   Posted: 09/09/2019 14:26:39

Piere, I agree with Glen. Indeed, this a beautiful landscape. I would increase the overall saturation. Decrease the exposure a bit to make it darker. Then, apply some local adjustment to brightened and make more vivid for more dimensional effect. But, again it is all my humble taste.   Posted: 09/09/2019 23:54:07

The composition is very nice. I wanted to add a bit more punch. I added just a bit more contrast then added a layer for the midtones using a luminosity mask and put that layer in blend mode of multiply to deepen them, then a touch of burn around the lower edges.   Posted: 09/12/2019 16:54:53

Natures natural framing at its best; choosing to add the branches at the bottom completes it. This view never disappoints. Nice HDR. I feel Kathryn's edit strengthens it.

Thanks for all your nice comments and suggestions. This is a wonderful place for hiking if you can get use to do it at this altitude! (When reaching approximately 10,000 feet above sea level, the Oxygen concentration goes down by 50% or so!). Maroon Bells is not that high as long as one does not climb higher.   Posted: 09/15/2019 12:05:26

Hi Pierre,

Such an iconic view--I'd love to visit this area someday. I really like the symmetry with the big peaks in the middle of the U-shaped valley. I also like the creek in the foreground. I did crop off some of the bottom just to fill the Frame with more of the mountain.
