About the Image(s)

This is looking down at the town of Positano in Italy. I was trying to capture the way the town flowed down the mountainside and bring out the height of the mountain. The lighting isn’t the best as wasn’t in the best time of day to capture good natural lighting. Brought up the contrast a bit.

Taken with my little Sony A6000 since it fits in my little front pannier on my bicycle. 1/80 sec at f/18, ISO 400, 16mm lens.

Splendid image! Everything is sharp and crisp from foreground to background. Mountainside village stands out in the light. Cloud shrouded mountain in the background is muted in the shadows but still stands strong as a visual element. The composition here places all pictorial elements in perfect harmony, the very essence of composition!   Posted: 01/05/2018 10:43:39

You are a lucky girl to visit such a beautiful spot. You have certainly done it justice. You have achieved what you set out to do. My eye went straight to the mountain on the left and followed the houses down to the bottom right. The mountain on the right covered with cloud balances the image nicely. A well composed landscape. The cloud shadows make it a lovely image. Cheers Glenn   Posted: 01/05/2018 23:13:50

Just wonderful. Can I hide in your luggage on your next trip?
I love the patchwork of colors, building shapes, wall textures as well as the mountains boundaries. Spectacular view and capture.
My only wish would be to see further to the right and below to reach the other edges of the city. Did you think of a pano with photo stitching?
