About the Image(s)
For this month I tried working with an old photo. I am unsure if this qualifies as nature because I took the photo at an arboretum so it is more of a garden then a nature preserve. This was taken in July around the afternoon. I tried editing it first by cropping to focus more on the tree and the reflection. Then I used a color correction and contrast change using the auto features in Adobe Lightroom. I am still unhappy with it though because I believe that the colors have been over corrected leading to harsh colors and it being a little to green.

The reflection of the tree in the water is nice. However the actual tree and surroundings seem to be quite dark. Opening up the shadows might improve this. The image does seem to be lacking in a central impactful subject. Try to look for single images up close and personal and see if your images take a leap forward.   Posted: 02/10/2021 13:33:49
The reflection is the most interesting part of this picture. I would concentrate on that and leave out some of the top of the image.   Posted: 02/12/2021 14:00:38
I think Candy's and Mervyn's points are great. Another option might be to use Lightroom's Profiles or Presets and add some interest to it.
I believe the mowed grass in the background would keep this out of PSA Nature's competition, but its fine for our Nature + group.   Posted: 02/12/2021 19:50:20
