About the Image(s)
Taken this Fall in Tennessee. I tried to capture the movement in the water and also show some Fall colors.

Lovely photo, Mervyn! Great silky water and some nice fall leaves. Awesome that you got down low. I'd be tempted to leave a tiny bit more at the top, do you have the original? It feels just a tad tight at the top. I also would consider darkening the water running out on the lower left, as it kept pulling my eye out of the pic to the left. I would like to see if Candy thinks it should be flipped. I have seen a lot of pix like this with a light magenta overlay to make it a bit more contemporary. Worth hanging, its just gorgeous!   Posted: 01/06/2021 19:12:11
A classic shot perfectly executed Mervyn. You have captured the motion in the water well. I agree with Brenda that the low shot adds to the pic.   Posted: 01/06/2021 20:21:34
Hi Mervyn,
I agree with Brenda. Lovely indeed. I think that I would have kept the top of your original and like you, remove the bottom to focus on the fast-flowing water. Nice silky effect. I like the juxtaposition of the static fall leaves contrasting with the green lichen on the rocks and the running water (contrast in motion and colors). Nice directing lines - relaxing and energizing.

Mervyn,
Sometimes it is difficult to get the shutter speed just right in these moving water images but I think you nailed it in this one. I like the crop you did too with the foreground rocks.   Posted: 01/10/2021 11:25:58

Beautiful, intimate fall scene, Mervyn. I think cropping to include the cluster of rocks was the best choice. You have lots of good leading lines with the silky water and rocks and a nice foreground frame with the rocks across the front. I feel that the top of the image is well framed with the layer of rocks and the gently flowing silky water over the top of the rocks. The stream creates a beautiful S curve from the top of the image to the lower left.   Posted: 01/11/2021 14:00:37
